Sophomore inspire week is an opportunity for students to figure out what they might want to do for their future. We were given various choices for what projects that we would like to do for various organizations around Durango. For me, I chose to create a design for a sensory garden for Juniper Elementary School. A sensory garden at it's core is exactly what it sounds like, it is supposed to stimulate as many senses as possible using plants and other trinkets around the garden. With this we also created 3 different lesson plans for the students about plants that could be used to teach about sensory gardens. We also gave these lesson plans to the teachers so that they could teach them to future grades of students.
